On Doing Better Business: Teams
John, our CEO, writes a lot about the technology side of our business. From EHR conversions to our large format blueprint scanning services, he’s our company’s voice on the business we do, getting it done, and the value it provides to our customers.
I’m the guy in the background thinking about how we can do better business. It’s my quirk. I read so much on any given week on various business and industry blogs and news sites about how others approach doing better business, but for me it comes down to one thing: your team.
The team we’ve build here at Solany, from John and myself to everyone from the receptionist to our scanning techs is really exceptional. We’re a smaller company, yet we trust one another to get the jobs which we’re tasked with done. When someone falls short, we own it. How many companies can say that?
It comes down to – for us, at least – giving yourself the right amount of time in the hiring process and then investing in everyone you bring onboard once they’re past the HR department. Finding the right people to hire is only part of the solution. You have to invest in them if you expect them to perform and stick around.
So today’s thought is short one: how are you going about building your company’s team? Are you investing in them past the front door? The key for us to doing better business is everything our team gives us each day. Maybe you’ll find it’s the same in your neck of the woods.
